Traffic Fines
All traffic fines resulting from violation of the Greek traffic law during the rental period are at the renter’s expense. Failure to report or pay for the fines results in details sent to the authorities to send on the fine with penalties.
Fuel
Fuel consumed during the rental period is paid by renter. Refunds are not given.
Availability
Car models are according to original planning. Delivery problems however, may compel us to supply another vehicle in exceptional cases.
Across the Border Rentals or Ferrying Rentals
Customers wishing to drive the car out of Corfu must have the advance authorization from the company. Plus an extra charge is required road service for the mainland. (Rate varies according to vehicle category). Mainland fee covers the cost of the road service for the duration of the rental.
Credit Card Transactions
Credit card transactions are made in Euros.
Please note that we are not able to make any transaction on the renter’s card in any other currency. The currency equivalent shown on the site is according to Greek Bank’s exchange rates and is updated monthly. Fluctuations may occur with card holders bank charges.
Cancelations
If payment has been made by credit card, up to 7 days before arrival, then 100% return. From 7 days onwards, one full day is charged. When clicking “pay by credit card”, the transaction goes through only when we have confirmed that a car is available for your hire.
If my flight will be delayed for a few hours will there be penalties?
At the airport, our staff will be waiting for you at the arrivals section, with your name clearly on display. We will check flight times and make allowances for customers on delayed flights. In case of a delay we will regularly check the new arrival time to insure our staff is there to meet you. If you know your flight is delayed, it is important for you to contact us straight away by email or you can text to our mobile 0030 6944223059.
How old do I have to be to rent a car and what do I need?
Qualification: renter’s or driver’s minimum age 21 years old for car groups a, b, c and 25 years old for cars of other groups.
What about the taxes?
Taxes are included in the final total price (VAT 24% also included). The price you see in the last step in our website is the full price with no extra cost on top.
What is the cancellation policy?
We offer full refunds, up to 48 hours before the booking date. (No refunds are given for cancellations with less than 48-hour notice)
What about driver’s License?
A valid driver’s license held for a least one year is required. We accept original driver’s licenses from EU member countries. For all others, an international driver’s license is required. We can put the name of the 2nd driver when you collect your car.
What do I need to know about minimum rental day and traffic fines?
Minimum rental time is one day. Every hour in excess is calculated at 1/5 of daily rate. Traffic fines, tickets and attached administrative sanctions resulting from any violation of greek traffic law during rental period are borne only by the renter.
Do you provide insurance?
All vehicles are insured against liability to third parties for death or injury or property damage (with excess). Our free basic insurance covers you for CDW/third party and personal accident this comes with an excess of 250 euros for small – medium cars and 400 for cabriolet and minibuses.

NOT valid when driving under the influence, speeding or in traffic violation.
What do I need to know about the fuel?
Fuel used during the rental period is payable by customer. Our policy: However you receive it is how you return it back. We guarantee that will be enough fuel to make more than a 100 KM if you come late in the night.
What about an extra Driver?
One extra driver is free of charge. For a 3rd driver, there is a charge of 3 euros per day.
Do you provide baby or booster seats?
Baby seats or booster seats are free of charge (1) per car. A second one or more will be charged 3 euros per day.
What about delivery and collection?
Deliveries and collections are free to accommodations, hotels, Corfu Port Terminal and Airport.
What do I need to know about availability?

Is ferrying the car allowed?
No, cars cannot be ferried without special written permit.

No open Credit Cards taken: You can pay with VISA, MasterCard, AMERICAN EXPRESS, Maestro, Diners Club INTERNATIONAL. When clicking “pay by credit card”, in the last step the transaction goes through only when we have confirmed that a car is available for your hire the most of the time we take the money 1 day before you arrive in Corfu. You can pay also cash when you collect the car, you can see that option in the last step also.
What about payment method?
You can pay upon delivery of the vehicle with either cash or card in euros.
Is a deposit necessary?
No deposit is required, our clients DO NOT need a credit card for security deposit.
Is there an Airport delivery and how does it work?
Corfu Car Rentals provide your car just a few meters from your airport terminal always in time.
